Sonny92 Dea Marica deliver 5 tracks of emotionally-charged doom heavily influenced by bands like Warning. For me, this is exactly what real doom should sound like, mournful and bereft.

about

"Ritual of the Banished is the undiluted, forlorn stuff. No groovy riffs, no snappy uptempo passages, no blending of musical styles, no references to marijuana, veiled or otherwise. Similar listening experiences, from the point of comparison (to my ears, anyway) include the great German Doom Metal band Mirror of Deception and epic British Doom bands like Solstice, Warning, Mourn and even bits of early 90’s UK Death Doom ala’ Anathema and Paradise Lost. Classic stuff, all." - HellRide Music.

"All songs featured on Dea Marica’s album are great if not excellent as in the final eponymous track." - Spirit of Metal.

"Doleful, haunting Doom Metal with Death Metal as well as Epic Doom influences." Transending Obscurity.

"it's crushing like a stone shroud, emotional like the funeral of a beloved one, slow like a current of viscid mud." - Doom Metal.com.

"Dea Marica play in the classic Euro Doom metal mold, Majestic, Melodic and very well thought out." Doomentia.
